Awesome restaurant with traditional food and charming staff. I’ve visited multiple times and have tried the Gebackener Schafskäse (baked sheep cheese) with a ripe tomatoes, crispy pepper and olives, as well as the Flammkuchen and the Wildbratwurst. All were scrumptious and generous portions. The Wildbratwurst though, served with bread and a sauce, lacked any vegetables. They also have some great soft drinks and beers (I can personally suggest the dark beer). The staff are really friendly and the location is lovely: in the summer you can sit in the square outside, whilst in the winter you can enjoy a cosy interior and a bustling atmosphere.

A classic destination in WDF. While the Flammkuchen are what this place is perhaps (justly) famous for, go for the large salad with turkey and mushrooms, great when you're hungry and want to stay relatively healthy.

I was very unimpressed with the Goulash it was a chewy unseasoned experience. The Flammkuchen looked a bit better. Also the English language menu is different to the German one which is confusing.

We've been there tonight and felt very welcome. The food was good and Tamara, who served us, was attentive, very friendly and competent. I had the salad with slices of game. The others had tarte flambee, Tafelspitz (boiled fillet of beef with a horseradish sauce). All very enjoyable. It wasn't the last time.

We go here often. Especially in the summer time, this place is a nice and popular spot to sit outside and enjoy Fresh meals and good beer. The menu on the Card hasnt changed since years but we actually like that because everyhting on the menu is fantastic. There is Nothing we would not recommend. Besides that there are Always Specials. Keep your eyes open at the entrance. There are chalk boards with daily and Weekly Specials. They sometimes offer Wonderful game and venison menues.

We were really disappointed. After reading some reviews we expected a little more from this place. I admit that we got there late therefore we had only the option of a cold dish, which we didn't have a problem with. The Wurstsalat though tasted very dull and was served with baguette (we were looking forward to real German bread). Also, we ordered a bottle of water which was way overpriced, € 5.00 - really? You can get a case of 12 bottles for that price and we were not allowed to take it with us. We even offered to pay the deposit fee for it. But they still declined. I can't see why that would be a problem. Maybe German mentality?

Dangerous place for tourists, wonen and childeren, I had reserved for my family. My wife me, my 7 year old son and 9 month old daughter. next to us was a large group of men who where known customers. they were all drunk. They kept pushing my wife. my wife always had to get up. liquor went over her. We told the situation to the staff, but as a tourist you will be ridiculed. I wanted to call the police, but afterwards with small children I opted for safety we could nog finch our diner. owner gave e 10 discount to keep my mouth shut. It was like a maffia film. and he gave his excuse to drunk men not to us. It feels like a dangerous place for families! Diner is fat and nothing special terrace is like a smoke hole. nice place for village alcoholic.

Good beers, good food. The people working there are nice and funny! Definitely a place where to go if you want to drink a good beer and eat some good meat (but I personally love the Flammenkuchen they do!)
